Turning to photography as a creative outlet during a valiant fight with breast cancer at age 34, renaissance10 survived and set up a photo contest to help raise funds for the Lavender Trust, a nonprofit that provides information and support to younger women with breast cancer. In the first two years, the competition brought in over £65,000 (that's $107,260.73 U.S.!), with entries from 130 countries last year. Renaissance10 recently joined LiveJournal to meet other passionate photographers and find supportive friends.

Primer curso itinerante En el camino De: Antonio Santo (elsanto91@hotmail.com)
¡Hola! Siento bombardear con un correo masivo; no lo tengo por costumbre, pero la ocasión es especial y lo merece. He empezado a colaborar con En el camino, la primera escuela itinerante de literatura de España. Vamos a dar nuestro primer curso el fin de semana del 22 de Enero en Ávila; os envío el programa y un enlace a la web por si hay alguien interesado, y por si me hacéis el favor de correr un poco la voz para que esto vaya para adelante, porque es un proyecto que realmente merece la pena. :)
